A big thank you for your enthusiasm for AVW12!

We have reached our capacity of 120 registered participants. Any registrations now are on a waiting list. You will be advised as soon as possible if there is a space that opens up.

For those who are already registered, you will receive an email with how to pay the registration fee in order to finalise your registration.

Registration details

The conferences will go over 5 days (5-9th May), with the option to arrive the day before on Sunday 4th May for welcome drinks and to register early. Registration includes:

  • Attendence to the conference
  • Poster session (cocktail dinner) in the Aquarium of the Biodiversarium
  • Welcome drinks, lunch, coffee/tea breaks
  • Gala dinner

Additional social activities are also on offer including:

  • A visit to a local winery with a guided visit showcasing local wine production and optional wine tasting
  • Hikes around the coast and in the hills around Banyuls (weather permitting).

Note: The social activites are on at different times, so you can go to the winery AND go for a hike too! We planned hike first, and winery second.

Student support

We have about 40 beds available for €35 per night in the student accomodation, mostly in shared rooms. Please indicate in the registration form if you would like to apply for a place with priority going to students. There will be prizes for the best student and post-doc posters and presentations. We aim to have a student and post-doc/early career researcher travel grant depending on available funding, however we cannot guarantee this support at this stage.

Note: We consider early-career researchers (ECR) to be students, post-docs, and anyone who is not tenure-track or tenured. We are not imposing a hard limit on who can apply, but are conscious of lending support those most in need.
